Types & Features:
There are 4 types of Stainless Steel Stencil SMT available for choice, including Framed Etching Stencil, Frameless Etching Stencil, Framed Laser Cut Stencil and Frameless Laser Cut Stencil. All stencils come in various sizes to accommodate your printer and stencil requirements.
1. Etching Stainless Steel Stencil SMT
Our full service in-house chemical etching department specializes in thin metal etching with materials from. 001" up to. 050". Thicker material may be available on request. We can etch individual pieces or in panel form. We also can provide electrolytic nickel and type 1 gold plating for up to 12"x18" panels. Other custom plating and coatings are available as well.
2. Laser-cut Stainless Steel Stencil SMT
Laser-cut Stainless Steel Stencil SMT ensuring the finest quality finish on the market today. We use a. 001" laser beam with 98% overlap creating an extremely smooth hole that provides the best paste release. Most stencil fabricators use a. 003" laser leaving mouse bites on the aperture edge.
3. Stainless Steel Stencil SMT with Frame (Also called "Glue-in" or Mounted Stencils)
Framed Stainless Steel Stencil SMT or glue-in stencils are laser cut stencil foils permanently mounted in a Stainless Steel Stencil SMT using a mesh border to tightly stretch the stencil foil taut in the frame. These solder paste stencils are designed for high volume screen printing on printed circuit boards. They are recommended for printed circuit board assembly when doing production runs. Our framed stencils provide optimum solder paste volume control. Framed stencils have smooth aperture walls and can be used for 16 Mil pitch and below and for Micro BGAs.
4. Stainless Steel Stencil SMT without Frame
(Also called SMT stencil foil, frameless foil stencil)
Frameless Stainless Steel Stencil SMT is designed to work with stencil tensioning systems also known as Reusable Stencil Frames like the Universal Frame. These solder paste stencils do not need to be permanently glued in a frame. Frameless SMT Stencils are significant less expensive than Framed Stencils and reduce storage space requirements. Or Frameless Stainless Steel Stencil SMT is designed for screen printing on printed circuit boards. They are recommended for prototype printed circuit board assembly or short runs. Our Frameless Stencils provide optimum solder paste volume control. They have smooth aperture walls and can be used for 16 Mil pitch and below and for Micro BGA's.
